Notes on Kenya
The African country of Kenya produces some of the world's most vibrant and complex coffees. Often described as the "red wine" of coffees, this brew is lush and bright with sweet red berry fruit notes and a lush, satisfying body. Kenyan can often actually display winy notes.
This coffee is great as an energizing finish to a dinner party as guests are likely to linger over conversation with a fine Kenyan. Serve this with chunks of good, dark chocolate and dried stone fruits - or even with the remains of the red wine from dinner!
We roast this coffee close to a Full City Roast: There are a few distinct fruit notes that can be lost with a deeper ebony roast. Brightness of acidity is also captured best with the medium roast as the sugars are allowed to sweeten the body and compliment the acidity.

Origin Notes
The country of Kenya is acclaimed in the coffee world as the "red wine" of coffees. Easily recognizable for its ripe red fruit and berry nuance, these prized coffees undergo a unique auction format before they can be exported. The double A refers to the size and grade of the flat beans from Kenya.

Cupping Notes
Extremely complex in acidity with varied nuances. Bright ripe red fruit, (cherry, plum and black current) flavors balanced with a lingering sweet aftertaste. Winy aromas and lush mouth feel.
